Why CTIP?

CTIP is the Trusted Name in Trauma

For over 20 years, the Center for Trauma Informed Practices (CTIP) has partnered with leaders in government, education, social work, mental health, police, corporate, and community to more effectively prevent, intervene, and respond to crises, violence, and traumatic events.

Today, organizations trust CTIP to bring the right people, processes, technology, and expertise together to develop comprehensive trauma-informed strategies, deploy precise training and methodologies, and implement specialized  tools that all combine to better mitigate the psychological and systemic response to trauma.

Whether you’re looking to proactively prepare your organization with comprehensive planning and information gathering tools, or respond to the unfortunate situation where violence or trauma has already occurred, CTIP will work with you to restore and maintain public trust.

From NACTATR to CTIP

The Center for Trauma Informed Practices was formerly called "NACTATR: the North American Center for Threat Assessment and Trauma Response". Our commitment to high levels of trauma-informed practices has led us to the development of CTIP. All NACTATR services offered in the United States will be conducted through CTIP. In Canada, NACTATR will co-brand for the 2022-23 academic year with CTIP, which means that all materials will have both logos.

The NACTATR website will be redirected to the CTIP site. All of the NACTATR trainings and services will remain the same, but will flow through the CTIP brand. With the move to CTIP will come further enhancements to existing programs, as well as new programs and services.
